There are two main cases when you would be put in the situation to reapply for Google™ AdSense

A. You Were Rejected at Application

1. In such situations you have to know how to rally your forces and react. Some case are more likely to get your account disabled easily. Here are some of the most occurring ones:

1. Click Fraud

AdSense™ registers clicks on the ads in your account that they consider malicious or fraudulent. It is a critical situation and usually when an account is barred for this reason, all data related to the account (including name, mailing address, domains, contact information, tax information, IP address) are stored into their “black list” and if you try to reapply using any of these data, your application will be rejected. However, AdSense™ does not react by disabling your account at once. It warns you at first, and if the clicks are proven to have been performed mistakenly, nothing happens.

Solution:

• Send them an apology, admitting blame. For, no matter if you consider you have done nothing wrong, they will see this situation triggered by one of your actions, even if not directly.
• Offer to make compensation on the fraudulent clicks on your site. This would ensure them that you are truly sorry.
• Be persistent. Keep a polite tone, but send an email once a week, thus they will see you are comitted and loyal to the program.

2. Inappropriate Content or/and Other Contextual Ads on the Page

Pages that have content that is not according to the their policies, you're sure for barring. On the other hand, situations happen when the page content is not actually in the categories described as off-limits, but is interpreted as inappropriate by the bot and the ads become PSAs. This may occur for example when there are some “stop” words on your page or even some references to taboo topics.

Solution: In these cases you should analyze carefully what caused you dismantled and repair things (remove other contextual ads if the case). And then submit your site again.

3. Site Contains Incentives to Click

This occurs most times from insufficient knowledge of AdSense™'s policies, We dare say, as we cannot imagine another good reason to put on your pages phrases like “click here” or “support us” if you know the rules. Or posting even on other pages, outside your site encouragements such as “visit my sponsors” or “feel free to stop by”.

Solution: It may work if you just remove all sort of such incentive and submit again.

4. Other Possible Cases

Pay attention!

• Useless to advise against any click on the ads on your own sites, as it's too common!
  
• The best you can do is to constantly watch the activity on your sites. There are also click-monitoring software that can automatically report any peculiarity (or generate a message through the internet client of the possible offender, who is ussually discouraged in such cases). Whenever you notice something out of the ordinary let AdSense™ know.
  
• Don't ever check your stats on any computer other than your own, and keep secrecy around your AdSense™ activity.
  
• If you suspect a certain static IP you can block it via .htaccess.
  
  
  • Filtering IPs via a .htaccess file seems a smart and logical step to take to prevent fraudulent activities from competitors
    
  • You can disable ads for your own IP to be safer.
    
• A very good measure would be to implement clicks limit (like 1-3 clicks from same IP for same ad a day).

When suspecting click fraud on your site, the first action advisable would be to temporarily disable the ads displaying on your site to prevent it from happening again and then reporting it to AdSense™.

What Is Click Fraud?

Click fraud is an illegal practise through which false clicks on PPC advertisments are generated, with the purpose of swerving advertising data, with no possibility whatsoever for a conversion to occur. That is, purely stealing from advertisers who pay for each click. Fraudulent clicks are also referred to as “invalid”, “malicious” or “artificial”.

The main trigger-reasons are:

• when hackers create software that perform fraudulent clicks and use it to threaten various companies in order to obtain money; (extortion)

• Publishers are not judged starting from the assumption of innocence and are severely penalized without much debate: AdSense™ account dismantled. They give no guarantee for the possibility of account reinstatement although they state their opening for discussion, considering the possibility of sabotage.

Most of us are just as frightened as the advertisers to become so, for click fraud is the primary reason (and the most serious one) for Google™ to disable AdSense™ accounts. And, while advertisers are usually refunded in such cases, AdSense™ publishers are banned without possibility of account reinstatement.

What Actions Can Be Interpreted as Click Fraud?

• The first sign that could be read as suspect would be an abnormal rise in CTR in a very short period of time (on one day for example)
• A grave mistake would be for the webmaster to intentionally click on his own site ads.
• Also, incentives to click are penalized as sterile clicks inducers.
